Branding is the emotional feel of your business product or services. It is an abstract aspect of business that has been observed to foster loyalty based on how it is built. People identify strongly with brands that have a strong emotional feel to it. Great brands are built on employing the five senses:

sense of sight: use of colors based on color psychology,in graphics while creating a consistency that overtime contributes to branding.

sense of taste: creating a feeling of uniqueness in positioning attributes to the branding process. ‘Nike’ a popular shoe brand positions in its mission statement to inspire the athlete in people, ‘McDonalds’ a popular food eatery is known for their meal taste consistency, ‘Rolex’ an accessory brand creates fashionable accessories that are durable. All these brands and more utilizes the sense of taste in their diversities.

sense of hearing: the impression people have of your business would determine what they say and what’s heard by your potential customers. Do you have a Lamborghini in your neighborhood?? Probably not but that doesn’t stop one from yearning it.

sense of smell: ever heard the saying ‘bad records are bad for business ‘?.The stench of a contrasting reputation to your business can affect your branding. The opposite help you.

sense of feel: this a little bit sums up the other aspects of branding. ‘Wikipedia’ a site that provides meanings to words giving their references and more is a good example of branding in this case. It is useful, accurate and provides a definition to a variety of words. It is gives this feeling of security that all its content are reliable.
