A guide to the art of “show don’t tell.”

~To infuse emotions:

Use words that you want the audience to feel and construct them in a step-ladder pattern.

~To express emotions:

Use phrases that best correlates to the write-up.

  • Minimize adverbs
  • Start as close to the end as possible
  • Limit use of alliteration.
  • Omit articles such as ‘the’ when possible.
  • Phrases, and/or figures of speech are good writing spices.
