The first gala night of a college student

·

What was the last live performance you saw?

You’ve been invited to a three days program. Check the dress codes. We would love to have you!

I scrolled away from the message to confirm the exact time my classes were fixed.

I had three classes that were too important to skip. I kept the invite and tried to come up with a solution.

But then, I saw it.

First event — seminar.

Day 2: Second event — workout.

Day 3: Gala night.

Gala night, gala night, free transportation?I had never been to a gala night before. Of course, I didn’t know what it meant.

But I wanted it to be perfect, and memorable. 🙂

So, I got my dress readyyyy and created a profile to connect for business purposes.

Three hours to the party, I discovered the unexpected.

  • The color code was white. But, I had prepared to dress in purple. (Mistake #1)
  • I didn’t know much about the venue. (Mistake #2)
  • I didn’t know anything about gala night, except ladies wore gowns and guys wore tuxedos.

Almost felt like ticking a list of how-to-not prepare for a gala night.

My hopes were falling apart before my eyes, again. This time, it was my fault.

But, i didn’t want to miss it. I believed I could find a way to attend. Even though, I didn’t know where to start.

There was only an hour left.

So, I called to know how strict the dress code was. —Turns out, it wasn’t strict at all.

Then I searched to learn a bit about the venue.

But, the venue setup was already sent on a video to bolster excitement among participants. (Problem solved)

So, i could attend without worries. Yayyy!

But, the event vehicle was gone.
