Laughter forms a bond

·

Who do you spend the most time with?

I exist in a world with only me in it. I can laugh at a hidden joke all by myself.

It was June 4th. I walked on the street lane and glanced at my right. There I saw him. An adult in his twenties as he jumped ever slightly to the presence of a family of street dogs. He had almost stepped on them.

His startled jump was replaced with firm annoyance as he kicked the eldest looking dog on its behind.

I smiled at his scolding and relatable fright. But, he looked up and saw me.

He smiled too.

The humor of the event became more pronounced. So, I laughed.

He saw the humor too. And, he laughed.

But that moment changed something for me. I realized that when a laughter is shared it can create a bond.

It does not produce friendship. But it bridges a form of connection to the rest of the world.

But maybe he was embarrassed. Right? I often believed laughing aloud to something not related to you can cause the other person embarrassment. What do you think?
